SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION-
March 22nd, 2011Search Engine Marketing - SEM, Search Engine Optimization - SEOWhen it comes to the internet and having a website you will want to attract people to your website. There are several ways that you can do this and you need to try as many as you can. You need to not count just on one tool to get these people to your web site. We are going to talk about traffic diversity.
When you are trying to market a web site you need to use a few different traffic sources. Traffic sources are places that will help lead traffic to your website. Sure, there is going to be some that will draw traffic more then others. But it’s a good idea to be receiving traffic on a regular basis from different sources.
Another reason that you need to use more then one traffic source is because you do not have any idea how stable they are. Let us give you an instance. If you are only using search engine optimization and there is a change in the search engines algorithms it can cause a lot of damage to where your website is listed on search engine ranking pages. So if this happens and you drop further down on the rankings then you are going to lose all of the traffic that you had coming from there. And there goes the website that you have been trying so hard to build up. So do not out all of your eggs in one basket.
One more traffic source that you can use is pay per clicks. Of course this can also change quickly if the person who has control over the system changes anything. Google Adwords is one that is always changing something. As quickly as you can blink you could discover that you no longer meet their new demands. Also when you are paying for advertisement you may find you just cannot afford it anymore. This is why you will need organic traffic sources also.
There are thousands of traffic sources available if you look in the right places. Ezine Articles is a great place to look. Or you can even use YouTube or Flicker to find some traffic. You could even use social sites like Facebook to place your ads. Of course these are paid sources. But these can be a great way to actually reach people who are interested in what you are selling.
The important thing is that you try several traffic sources in order to being in traffic to your website. If you have several of these in play and something changes on one then you will still have the others to keep generating traffic to your web site. Remember traffic diversity can be the key to making your web site either be a success or a failure. Try it and watch the traffic start flowing into your website from all angles.

March 22nd, 2011Search Engine Marketing - SEMHave you heard of Adwords? These are used by Google. When you use Google as your search engine; and the list of rankings show up then you will see little ads come up on the side of the page. Well when online users hit on one of those ads then someone at Google gets paid. It could be 10 cents to a dollar but they will get paid. The ad owners are the ones that pay Google. If a person wants their ads to appear on these pages they have to do a keyword bid price. If they win then their ad will be used. Just how great is this? Do these really work? Do you really need these Adwords? There is a way you can find out.
You need to go on your browser and Type in the keyword phrase that you use about your site. If your website is showing up on the top page rankings then you really do not need to use Adwords. Why put more money into Google’s pocket if it is not necessary. Think about it, if you do not need Adwords and customers are using it anyhow then what could is it doing you. It has been proven that potential customers do not hit on those ads on the side of the pages that much. This is because they trust the search engines more. So if customers are not hitting on them then why use them?
If you run your keyword phrase through the Google search engine and you do not show up on the pages then Adwords may work for you. But you need to be aware that the word is out that Google is raising their prices. The process was supposed to be about winning the bid. If you did not win then you would be ranked lower. But it seems that this is not the way that it is working. They do not have minimum bids so if you do not meet the bid then you are pretty much screwed. If they went back to the way they were doing it then it would be worth it to at least get a low ranking.
Google is making it hard on people. You have a choice to either use them or do not. It may or may not work for you. It ends fairness when one business has that much control. It may be that Adwords work for some marketers. But what really works for all marketers is showing up first on page rankings. This is what guarantees more potential customers coming to your website. These search engine pages are what customers got to first. They are what attract customers to websites. It is a personal choice on what you want to use. If you think Adwords is working for you then by all means use them. But if you are ranking high on a search engine then why pay Google for Adwords that are not doing anything for you.

March 22nd, 2011BloggingBlogging is a popular past time these days. The internet has opened up a whole new world to us and blogging is a part of that world. People blog for a lot of different reasons; they blog cause they like to write. Blogging is a way to be creative. People blog because it is an outlet in which they can say what is on their mind. Blogging allows you to be able to write what you want with no one telling you what you can or not say. There are some people who want blogs for a specific reason but they have no skill at writing so they will hire what is called “ghost writers” to write the blog for them.
When you want a blog to be seen by others either as your personal blog or a company blog then you will need dedication and effort; especially if this is a company blog where you are writing about products or a service that you are selling. There are a few things that a true blogger would suggest to make sure your blogs are successful.
To have a successful blog, you need to be able to offer something to the readers. This means you need to be writing about something that will catch the interest of a reader. Stick to the area of skill you want to write about and write information that people will not only want to read but come back often to read more. Ask for suggestions and other feedback from your readers. Relating to your subscribers will keep them not only coming back but also spreading the word about your blog.
You need to make your blog stand out. It has to have something that no other blog has. If you just repeat what another blogger says in a different way then you will lose subscribers fast. Make your blog unique. Add some graphics or maybe even some pictures relating to what you are talking about. Make them Unique but not outlandish. Do not carry it to far that it only makes you look silly instead of serious about the content you are writing about.
Make sure you are using good writing. This would include an opening or introduction, a few paragraphs and a conclusion to the blog. Also watch your spelling and grammar. Believe it or not people will notice little mistakes and they will stop taking you serious. Also plan your blogs. It is important that you post on a regular basis whether it is once a week or every month.
Another important suggestion that we have for bloggers is to respond back to your readers. If they give you comment respond back and thank them. If they say something negative still respond back with as much kindness. If someone asks a question then take the time to answer them. Your readers are what will make your blog a success. Also never turn down advice from a blogger especially someone who has been around for a while.
